Welcome to Armstrong Atlantic State University's Office of Financial Aid web site. We're here to help you plan and finance your future. We hope this site provides you with information to help guide you in the financial aid process. A little planning now can save you time, effort and expense in the future. Announcing the Online Award Letter!


Students are now being emailed notices to view their award package on line via SHIP! Also, student loan procedures have been enhanced for your convenience. Please pay special attention to the Acceptance Agreement and Guidelines. Let us know if you have questions or comments!

Important deadline!

To apply for student loans for Summer term 2008-2009, all requests must be received by the Office of Financial Aid no later than close of business on July 31, 2009.

All applications for aid for 2008-2009 must be completed no later than August 7, 2009. No additional documentation may be submitted to the Office of Financial Aid for the 2008-2009 aid year after August 7, 2009.


Fall 2009 dates to remember:

Bookstore credits will begin being issued on August 3, 2009 and will end at close of business on August 28, 2009.

Verification of attendance will begin on August 20, 2009 until August 27, 2009 for the main attendance period. If you register for sessions that begin later in the term, you may experience a delay in disbursement of aid. The first disbursement of aid for Fall 2009 is September 2, 2009.


At Armstrong Atlantic State University we believe higher education should be available to everyone. The Office of Financial Aid is committed to helping students find appropriate ways to finance their education. A comprehensive program of student financial assistance including scholarships, grants, student loans, and employment is offered to eligible students. Use the links provided here to assist you in your college planning. You will find explanations of the programs of assistance as well as procedures and deadlines for applying for financial aid.

Melinda McAllister is our general counselor on duty each day. Ms. McAllister is available to you Monday through Friday from 8:30am until 4:30pm. You are also assigned a counselor responsible for processing your file. If you'd like to speak with that counselor, please note the schedule below.
