Diploma Information

Diploma issuance:
Diplomas are issued during the graduation ceremony. If you graduate in absentia, your diploma will be mailed the week following the ceremony.

Double majors:
Only the primary major will be reflected on your diploma. Both majors will appear on your transcript. Minors are not shown on the diploma.

Diploma holds:
Neither your diploma or transcript will be released if you have outstanding financial obligations to the university. We will try to inform you of these obligations prior to graduation. It is your responsibility to clear any holds or financial obligations.

How long will the Registrar's Office retain my diploma?
Unclaimed copies are retained for one year and then destroyed. Please see information below on obtaining a replacement.

How can I order a replacement diploma?

To order a replacement diploma, a written request must be mailed to the address below. This request must contain your name, social security number, degree earned, term of graduation, and a check/money order made payable to Armstrong Atlantic State University for $25.00. Please also include a telephone number where you may be reached, if additional information is needed. Replacement diploma orders will not be processed until fee payment is made. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for delivery.

An error was made on my diploma. How can I get it corrected?

You should return the incorrect diploma to the Registrar's Office. A replacement diploma will be ordered and mailed to the address on file in the Registrar's Office.

My name has changed. How can I ensure the correct name will be reflected on my diploma?
Name changes should be submitted with required documentation to the Registrar's Office no later than three months prior to the scheduled graduation ceremony. Name changes submitted after this date will not be reflected on the diploma received at the graduation ceremony. A replacement diploma will be ordered and mailed to the address on file in the Registrar's Office.
