Tips For A Successful Semester at AASU!

1. Attend all class sessions.
2. Manage your time. Allow at least two hours of study outside of class each week for every credit hour.
3. Stay organized, and complete all reading assignments before class.
4. Read and refer to all your course syllabi regularly.
5. If you have a question, ask in class or during your professor's office hours - they want to help.
6. Take advantage of these free academic services:
   • Math Tutorial Lab (Solms Hall 206)
   • Writing Center (Gamble Hall 109)
   • Foreign Language Lab (Gamble Hall 106)
   • Office of Multicultural Affairs (Memorial College Center 211)
   • Psychology Club tutoring (Science Center 201)
   • Graduate Student Coordinating Council and Adult Academic Services Office tutoring services (Victor Hall 227)
   • American Chemical Society Student Affiliates tutoring (Science Center 2302)
7. Identify a "study-buddy" for each of your courses.
8. Get involved on campus. Join a club, attend a concert or play, attend an AASU sporting event.
9. See your advisor regularly, and pre-register for your courses.
